Plaqué or laminé

Gold filled is not plating. It is a thick layer of solid 14K or 18K gold mechanically bonded to a brass core — typically a hundred times thicker than plating, which is why it doesn't wear through, doesn't turn skin green and survives showers and swimming. It's how we make the burger rings, pencil bangles and crayon bracelets wearable every day at a fraction of solid-gold prices.
