Here it turns a familiar object into something worth leaving out on a desk. The silver is finished two ways — a soft matte across the faces, polished along the rounded edges — so the box catches light differently depending on how it is set down. Inside, a gilt interior.

The lid slides rather than hinges, closing flush so the cube reads as solid.

Item Details

Sterling silver, 925 hallmarked

Natural lapis lazuli cabochons, star set

Gilt interior

Approximately 5 × 5 × 5 cm

Sliding lid

Useful for pills, but just as good for cufflinks, a spare key, rings overnight, or a single very good chocolate.
